Troubleshooting:
How do I know if a previous version of the Weblink Updater is already installed in my PC?
Plug in your module to your PC using the Weblink Updater cable, click the "Flash your module" button at the top right corner of our website. If the updater detects your module, this confirms that a previous version of the Weblink Updater plug-in is already installed in your PC.
I installed the Weblink Updater 4.0 plug-in but the updater still doesn't detect my module. What should I do?
Restart your PC and try again. If you still experience the same issue, unplug the Weblink Updater cable from your PC, uninstall the Weblink Updater plug-in, run the setup application again and restart your PC.
I don't have administrative rights to my computer. What should I do?
For security purposes, the Weblink Updater 4.0 plug-in requires that the installer hold administrative rights to the computer onto which the application will be installed. If you don't have administrative rights to the computer, ask your Systems Administrator to install it for you.
I get an error #2869 when trying to upgrade to Weblink 4.0. What should I do?
This error occurs with Windows Vista. Although we are still working on a definite solution to this problem, below is a temporary procedure that will allow you to upgrade successfully:
- Disconnect the Weblink Updater USB cable from your PC
- Create a new folder (directory) on your hard drive at C:\adsTEMP
- Save the upgrade package(adsWebServiceSetup.msi) in C:\adsTEMP
- Click on the START button at the bottom of your screen and click RUN
- In the text-field, enter msiexec /i C:\adsTEMP\adsWebServiceSetup.msi
- Follow all installation steps
- Connect the Weblink Updater USB cable to your PC
- Restart your PC
I get an error saying that my session is expired. What's wrong?
In order to provide the best user experience, our updater makes use of cookies. Therefore, you will need to make sure that those are enabled by your browser, or browser add-ons such as Google Toolbar, Yahoo Pop-Up Blocker or any other anti-virus software. You will also want to make sure that the time on your system is correctly configured. Such discrepancies may cause cookies to expire too fast, thus preventing you from using the interface.
