question

What are iDatalink products used for?

iDatalink modules are designed to interface with your vehicle’s factory security and convenience feature control units to facilitate the installation of aftermarket remote starter, alarm and keyless entry systems. To see which solutions are available for your vehicle, select your vehicle make, year, model and trim from the homepage.

question

Does ADS work with car manufacturers?

ADS has no affiliation to any vehicle manufacturer. Every iDatalink solution is 100% researched, developed and validated by our in-house team to ensure seamless and secure integration with your vehicle’s original equipment and systems.

question

Can I purchase and install an iDatalink module myself?

iDatalink products are strictly intended for installation by authorized dealers. To eliminate any risk of personal liability due to improper installation and ensure complete warranty protection, ADS strongly discourages the purchase of iDatalink products through any vendor (in store or online) that facilitate direct-to-consumer sales without professional installation.

question

Where can I find an iDatalink-authorized dealer?

iDatalink products are typically available wherever remote starters are installed. To find an iDatalink authorized dealer near you, click here.

question

Many products are listed for my vehicle on your website. Which one should I choose?

Each solution varies in vehicle feature support, installation convenience and price. Your iDatalink-authorized dealer will be able to choose the right solution according to your needs. Their cost will typically be factored into the total price of a remote starter installation when applicable.

question

My vehicle is not listed on your website. What does it mean?

The R&D process relies on vehicle availability, internal workflow, technological complexity, and the resources at our disposal. Due to the volatility of these factors, it is impossible for us to predict the release of a given solution. As a rule of thumb, a solution is considered ‘currently not supported’ until it is officially announced and displayed on our website.

question

My vehicle is not currently supported on your website. What can I do?

If an iDatalink solution is not currently available for your vehicle, a remote starter can still be installed using a ‘key wrap’ procedure or ‘universal transponder box’, which both require relinquishing a valid key for installation. For more details, contact an authorized dealer near you.
