Each solution varies in vehicle feature support, installation convenience and price. Your iDatalink-authorized dealer will be able to choose the right solution according to your needs. Their cost will typically be factored into the total price of a remote starter installation when applicable.
The R&D process relies on vehicle availability, internal workflow, technological complexity, and the resources at our disposal. Due to the volatility of these factors, it is impossible for us to predict the release of a given solution. As a rule of thumb, a solution is considered ‘currently not supported’ until it is officially announced and displayed on our website.
If an iDatalink solution is not currently available for your vehicle, a remote starter can still be installed using a ‘key wrap’ procedure or ‘universal transponder box’, which both require relinquishing a valid key for installation. For more details, contact an authorized dealer near you.
